Emily’s debut manuscript of poetry, What Blooms in the Dark, is forthcoming with Moon Tide Press (Los Angeles) in October of 2024. This book began as an image born underground, following an obsession with roots and soil.
Tracing a personal journey of release, return, and rebirth, her collection dives into the dark necessarily, as a precursive measure for arching back up toward the light. Poems that recount generational violence and addiction conversate with others that find healing and illumination in the cycles of nature.
